Through cherished characters, meaningful interactions and special moments, there’s something truly special about watching a child’s face light up when their favorite character walks into their themed party or event. Meet Shawna and Melissa
Meet the Moms Behind Crowns, Capes & Characters
Crowns, Capes & Characters was created by two local moms, Melissa and Shawna, who share a love for family, creativity, community and creating magical experiences for children.
Melissa is a busy mom of three and a cheer coach and Shawna is a mom of two, the owner of two other businesses, and Vice President of the Valley Springs Elementary PTO. We are both very active in our community and love being involved in the activities, events, sports and organizations that bring local families together.
Like so many moms, we wanted to continue providing for our families while still being present for the moments that matter most school activities, practices, games, events and simply watching our kids grow. Rather than building careers that required us to sacrifice that time, we decided to create something that could grow alongside our families.
And from that, Crowns, Capes & Characters was born.
We combined our creativity, work ethic, love for children and involvement in our community to create a business centered around bringing magic, imagination, and unforgettable memories to birthdays, school functions, community events, celebrations and special occasions.
We’re incredibly excited to bring Crowns, Capes & Characters to our community and continue doing what we both love most, being present moms, supporting local families and making kids smile.
